Paradise Valley Arizona Information & History

Paradise Valley was named for the beautiful rolling hills and the amazing desert scenery that captures the entire area. The area, incorporated in 1961, was formed in order to protect this amazing landscaping and to promote much needed growth into the area. Thanks to the Camelback Mountains and the Mummy Mountains residents of Paradise Valley have a higher level of seclusion then you would find in other nearby areas.

Despite of the seclusion and private natural beauty of Paradise Valley the area is virtually surrounded by urban style amenities. Paradise Valley has several strict zoning laws in place that allow for minimum of one acre lots for new home builds.

This was put into place because it protects the open and spacious look that Paradise Valley essentially is. Paradise Valley is not a full service community which means that residents need to contact companies for waste removal, fire protection, and water.

Paradise Valley is bordered by Phoenix, Scottsdale, and is located at the edge of Squaw Peak Park. Due to the prime location the area offers a generous amount of upscale developments on plenty of acres. Many of these homes are exclusive estates with mountain views and breathtaking landscapes.

Paradise Valley is filled with your choice of worship. The area has a special permit to allow for certain buildings in Paradise Valley and churches were included. Ascension Lutheran Church, Calvary Church of the Valley, Camelback Bible Church, First Southern Baptist Church of Scottsdale, Franciscan Renewal Center Casa De Paz Y Bien, and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church are all churches that are in the direct area.

Paradise Valley is home to quite a few award winning resorts. The best known of all the resorts include the Marriott Camelback Inn and Shadow Mountain Resorts. The area is also home to the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain. Paradise Valley is also proud to be home to several first class restaurants and exceptional entertaining events. All of the resorts and dining establishments combined with the residential area and the breathtaking scenery all blend together to make a truly wonderful and unique community.
